Add a little fizz
We all know you should drink 8 glasses of water a day. But sometimes you just need to jazz it up a little! Which is where flavoured, fizzy water comes in. If you’ve got a Sodastream, it’s easy.
And for those of us who grew up in the 70s … we’re no longer talking cola and cream soda. Nope. These days Sodastreams (which, by the way, now show off an elegant, sleek design and come in funky colours) give us grapefruit and mango, cranberry and kiwi and so many more fruity flavours. If you’re hydrating, choose the Naturals or Free range, which contain no no artificial colourants, flavours, preservatives or sweeteners.
Here are some refreshing recipes from Sodastream to get you started:
Strawberry Mint Sparkling Water
Prepare a glass of fresh, sparkling water and pour it into a tall glass. Dice three strawberries and add. Wash the mint leaves and add a few. Allow to stand for a few minutes to extract the flavour from the mint and strawberries.
Peach Iced Tea
Fizz a litre of cold water and flavour with the Free Peach Iced Tea mix. Squeeze in a few drops of lemon and add a cinnamon stick. Stir and allow to stand for a few minutes. Garnish with diced peach and serve.
Kids’ Raspberry Coolers
Prepare enough Free Raspberry Cranberry soda to fill a jug. Add some fresh organic raspberries and garnish with mint.
